our apple orchards

In 2017, we purchased property at the foothills of Mount Hood in Parkdale, Oregon. The property was previously planted with cherries and blueberries, as well as commercial marijuana.

The property is secluded and sits above the Hood River which you can hear running water below from the orchard. Mount Hood peaks through the trees providing breathtaking views.

Honeycrisp apples

Juicy and sweet, Honeycrisp’s skin is a distinctive mottled red over a yellow background, with coarse flesh.
This apple is good for snacking, salads and sauce-making and stores well.

Why it’s the perfect location…

The high elevation of Parkdale provides cool nights and warm days during the summer which is optimal growing conditions for Honeycrisp apples. It allows the apples to grow well in size and helps to create the beautiful red shades on the apple we all have grown to love.

We planted our first high density trellised Hoenycrisp apples on this property in the spring of 2020, right after COVID hit. We utilize drip irrigation to optimize our water management, providing just enough water for the trees to grow a balanced crop. We also have overhead cooling to help with sun protection on the apples.

Growing great quality honeycrisp apples is something we are passionate about.
